Louisville Film Society’s Mission Statement

To build and enrich community by exhibiting, educating and exposing Greater Louisville to experimental, independent, classic and international cinema.

To prompt discussion and new perspectives among a cross-cultural, cross-generational audience through creative and educational film programming.

To build and maintain film archival facilities to serve as a resource for regional filmmakers and historians.

To explore alternative spaces for film through outreach to local businesses while establishing a permanent cinema for the Society.
